I\u2019ve been listening Dave Matthews\u2019 Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King<\/a>, jamming away in the truck while I travel to work and back again. This album is their best work in quite a while. \u201cShake Me Like a Monkey\u201d is my favorite song of the past year or so and, one day, I\u2019ll learn \u201cYou & Me\u201d on the guitar. I just have to. <\/p>\n I also need to see them in concert, again. That\u2019s scheduled for the summer.<\/p>\n I\u2019m playing a lot of God of War 3, which is as brutal and maybe predictable as you\u2019d expect. I don\u2019t think I mean predictable in a bad way. Kratos simply noticed that several heads are in need of removal. I\u2019m not surprised he\u2019s the man for the job. <\/p>\n I remain pretty happy with the formula, especially in a game that starts this fast and looks this incredible. But the formula is incredibly obvious if you\u2019ve ever touched one of these games before. This is my fourth (I count the PSP game). Next time I\u2019ll be looking for something a little different.<\/p>\n The wife and I are watching a lot of American Idol<\/a> and Survivor<\/a>, the latter of which is aging better than the former. I\u2019m not exactly certain what\u2019s wrong with American Idol. It certainly has something to do with a weak lineup of contestants. Maybe they\u2019ve played with the format too much. Maybe I\u2019ve gotten too good at using my DVR. Maybe I miss Paula. No, it can\u2019t be that last thing. It can\u2019t be that at all.<\/p>\n Survivor, however, remains a pretty good show where they eventually eat bugs or something similarly vomit inducing. The villains and heroes thing feels contrived \u2013 after all, it is — but, somehow, the show remains entertaining. Jerks and Rob will soon merge with the nice guys, however. I\u2019ll be happy when we get down to individuals. <\/p>\n I\u2019ll be happier when I find more time to watch The Fringe.<\/p>\n I recently began the \u201cSong of Fire and Ice\u201d series of books penned by George R.R. Martin in an effort to fill a gaping hole in my fantasy library. I know. I can\u2019t believe I waited so long either. I\u2019m sorry I waited, even as Mr. Martin does terrible things to characters he first made me love. I\u2019m well into \u201cA Clash of Kings.\u201d I\u2019ll finish reading the series, at least when George bothers to finish writing it.<\/p>\nNow Playing<\/h4>\n
